Please join AWLL for our Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) on Wednesday, July 4th 2018 at 6:30 pm at Laura Devine Solicitors, 100 Cannon Street, London EC4N 6EU.
The event will be divided into two events: the AGM, which is for members only, will be followed by an Independence Day Drinks celebration at 7:30pm, where all AWLL members and non-members are welcome. The BBQ and drinks celebration will be held on the terrace, with great views of the city!

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE ELECTION
The Executive Committee of American Women Lawyers in London is responsible for maintaining the group’s presence in the London legal community, organizing professional and social events and promoting the AWLL brand.
We have several positions open this year and we would really love some new faces on the Executive Committee.
The following positions are OPEN for election for a two-year term (2018-2020) in accordance with the American Women Lawyers in London Constitution:
Membership Director (Molly O’Brien, INCUMBENT CANDIDATE) – The Membership Director works with Website Director to ensure efficient and effective operation of membership application and renewal process including the online membership registration form; ensures correct dues are collected in line with receipt of completed membership application; updates and maintains the membership database and membership directory; routinely reports on membership numbers to Executive Committee; formulates and assists in delivering membership benefits; develops strategy for membership recruitment and retention; and works with the Membership Subcommittee.
Events Co-Director (2 Positions: ONE VACANCY AND ONE INCUMBENT CANDIDATE: Sarah Lancrenon) – The Events Co-Directors are responsible for coordinating events and liaising with external hosts. They manage guests lists and keep records of attendance. The Events Co-Directors will look into whether Continuing Legal Education credits would be available at AWLL events. They will also be responsible for posting/distributing presenters’ materials and recording our events to be available as audio or video.
Marketing Director (NO INCUMBENT CANDIDATE) – The Marketing Director develops AWLL’s promotional materials, liaises with external partners, and is responsible for AWLL’s public relations initiatives, both internal and external. The Marketing Director will solicit membership discounts. She will also work with the Secretary to draft AWLL newsletters.
Website Director (NO INCUMBENT CANDIDATE) – The Website Director maintains the AWLL website and assists with other technical matters, such as email accounts. The Website Director will work with outside professional web developer as and when required.

There are two other Executive Committee positions that are vacant, but not up for election. These positions are the Secretary and the Treasurer. If you want to know more about either of these positions, please email Jeanette at Jeanette@awll.org.uk.
Please note that to attend the AGM, propose Constitutional amendments, run for one of the positions above or vote in the Executive Committee elections, you must be a member.
